As you might already know, I made a short documentary in collaboration with my amazing sponsor Trolle Company and the one and only film crew Northly Film. Last Monday the film magazine EKKO nominated the film for their shortlist. That alone is super cool!
There are a million things that makes a good rider, but here are 5 things that I think you definitely don't want to miss! The first thing that pops to my mind is, that a rider needs to have a general good physical condition...
Having a good trainer is essential if you want to develop. In my “grown up” life I have had two different trainers. The one and only Rune Willum was with me since I was 11 for 15 years, and my current trainers are national coach Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and Kyra Kyrklund.
A lot of you guys have asked about what Bohemian and I are doing at the moment and when we'll be out on the arena again. We're currently on a "winter break", training some of the things we're struggling with a bit and practicing being more comfortable with loud noises and a big audience!
Some of you might have already bought all the Christmas presents for your friends and family this season, but for those of you who haven’t, we've interviewed Cathrine for her best gift ideas this year.
Psst, some of these gift ideas are from Cathrine's sponsors, and we've have tried to make it super easy for you to find it - as some of you always ask for links :-)
The idea for DufourFashion came along with the club. One of my friends has worked in the music industry. A lot of fans and music lovers often wear the band t-shirt of their favorite group. That is sort of a thing that tie people even more closely together. That idea was too good to let go and we decided to try and introduce it to the equestrian sport.
When training my horses, I really want them to bewithme and take part the game we’re playing. Of course you’d need to be consistent when educating a horse, but if the horse really likes to ride and likes to work with you, it is so much easier and so much more fun for both.
For me it’s super important to take good care of horses, and I do this in lots of different ways. Today’s tip has to do with cooling the horse’s legs, something I do after an intensive training session, after a competition or if the horse has an injury. The reason why I cool their legs after a training session or a competition is to avoid injuries and to make everything as comfortable for the horse as possible.
As a lot of you already know, we've recently gotten some new horses at Grønagergård from Helgstrand Dressage and we've sold HP Tootsie. Therefore, I thought I would make a small overview over which horses I still own myself, with how old they are and pictures of my superstars. A few of the horses I have now are still pretty young, so there's still a long way to go in regards to training.
A lot of people ask me about how I motivate myself to keep going, especially if I’ve just been to a competition that didn’t go very well. First of all, it’s really about having a dream and communicating that dream to the people around you, telling them where it is that you want to go. In that way, they can help you get there, because they know exactlywhatit is that you want to do.
